What’s the name of the band?
The Rockit King
Where are you from?
Grand Rapids, Michigan
What type of music do you play?
Rock ‘N’ Roll music. Lots of singing. Lots of guitars.
Introduce yourselves to the readers and tell us what you do in the band?
I’m Jes Beveridge. I sing in the band.
This is probably a common question but one that most want to know, what musical influences did you have growing up, and what are some now?
I was was lucky to come of age in the late 80’s/early 90’s. There was so much killer music from Stevie Ray Vaughn & Davis Bowie to Megadeth & Pantera. Living Colour, Faith No More, Metallica. Soundgarden & the Chili Peppers. So much amazing music.
Have you always been into music? Was it something that just came to you naturally?
I was gigging in honky tonks across Michigan professionally starting in the 5th Grade. Drums. Lots of great formative musical experiences l.
What can we expect from the band in the rest of 2022 and beyond into 2023?
Select Festival dates in ‘23. We head back to the Studio in November to record three singles for release in 2024.
