BURY TOMORROW ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM WILL YOU HAUNT ME, WITH THAT SAME PATIENCE

ALBUM ARRIVES MAY 16

NEW SINGLE “WHAT IF I BURN” OUT NOW

For Bury Tomorrow, the last two years have been about trying to fill the space where they knew something was missing.

From the depths of uncertainty, through line-up changes, and COVID-inspired road blocks, the arrival of guitarist Ed Hartwell and keyboardist/vocalist Tom Prendergast and the creation of 2023’s The Seventh Sun has allowed them to lay out a whole new path of possibilities that felt unavailable before.

Now, with an invigorated belief and fresh outlook on what the band can encompass, they present Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience, their most fantastically visceral offering to date. Pre-save/pre-order it here.

Crafted more intimately and intricately than ever before by internalizing every aspect of the writing process, with Carl Bown [Sleep Token, Bullet For My Valentine, While She Sleeps] manning production duties for the first time, the result is a profoundly personal, extraordinarily expansive and punishingly grand display of cathartic craftsmanship.

Born from a shared sense of frustration in feeling an ever-shifting disconnect from the state of modern society, the band have created an earnest, heart-wrenching and definitive look at the overlapping effects of brutal self-sabotage, crippling anxiety, fierce despondency and the never-ending search for peace and clarity in a world so full of noise. It is a record about division as much as togetherness, an outpouring of personal devastation but a hopeful reminder that we are all navigating it together.

Atmospherically stirring new single, “What If I Burn,” centers on the tricks that our mind plays on our perception of existence, interactions and connections.

Watch the music video here.

“To haunt is to revisit or recur persistently to the consciousness of someone or something,” explains guitarist Kristan Dawson. “There’s beauty in that commitment somewhat. In a world full of distraction, discourse, instancy and demand, patience seems hard to attain. In patience, there is peace, one thing society is short of. The title serves as a call of reflection, relying on the present moment, remembering what truly matters. I think the notion of patience being haunting is quite a contrast and that’s certainly reflective of the album musically.”

Within such deep sonic exploration and shared emotional understanding, and despite its bleak outlook on things, Will You Haunt Me With That Same Patience still strives to represent that lingering presence, that hope, that reminds us that this isn’t the be-all and end-all of this existence. That things can change for the better, just like we can change for the better with it, and persevering through such separation will bring us back around eventually. We just have to weather the storm and trust in that feeling to pull us through.

To have allowed themselves the time and space to reach this point of comfort and confidence now feels like a starting point for everything that the band will do in the future. Expanding their empire in all corners of the world and delivering their biggest statement of intent to date is the beginning of a whole new chapter in the story of one of the most devastating and dedicated assets to British heavy music

Pop Evil Share "Deathwalk" Video

POP EVIL RELEASE “DEATHWALK” VIDEO

BAND CURRENTLY TOURING WITH BAD WOLVES THROUGH NOVEMBER

Modern rock powerhouse POP EVIL follow their scorching single “What Remains” with new, dark track “Deathwalk,” produced by Zach Jones & KJ Strock.

The band shared the cinematic music video, directed by Sam Shapiro. Fans will plunge into the dark, fragmented landscape of lead singer Leigh Kakaty‘s psyche, unraveling the thin line between self-identity and survival. Kakaty confronts existential questions of his own mortality and legacy.

“We are the accused, the guilty, the damned,” the singer says about the harrowing track. “At the end of our ‘Deathwalk,’ judgment awaits. Are you at peace with what you will leave behind?”

Pop Evil returned in August by showcasing their new sound with single “What Remains.” It was produced by Wage War’s Cody Quistad and serves as the dawn of a new era for Pop Evil, which the band promises will be its most sonically heavy. “What Remains” currently sits at No. 8 on the Mainstream Active Rock Chart.

The six-time RIAA gold-certified band, plus newly platinum-certified track, “Torn to Pieces,” is gearing up for its forthcoming eighth studio album, set for release in Spring 2025.

Pop Evil are currently finishing up the final dates of The Animal Instinct Tour with Bad Wolves. Sierra Pilot and Oni are serving as support. All remaining tour dates are below

Kakaty previously confirmed the band’s new lineup, saying, “We are also proud to officially announce the newest member of the Pop Evil lineup — Blake Allison.” Allison is replacing departed member Hayley Cramer on drums, joining Kakaty and fellow bandmates, guitarists Dave Grahs and Nick Fuelling, and bassist Joey “Chicago” Walser.

Pop Evil first rose to international prominence with debut album Lipstick on the Mirror, featuring RIAA Certified Gold Single “100 in a 55.” After Kakaty famously tore up the band’s major label contract onstage, Pop Evil signed with MNRK Heavy (formerly eOne Music). 2011’s War of Angels debuted in the Top 10 of the Rock Albums chart and produced three Top 10 singles.

The band’s 2013 album Onyx put them in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 for the first time and boasted three consecutive No.1 rock songs, two RIAA Gold Singles, and one Platinum Single with “Torn to Pieces.” Pop Evil’s next release, Up, was the No.1 Independent Album in America and made it to #25 on the Billboard 200. It featured several Top 5 rock songs and a chart-topper with “Footsteps,” which also went Gold.

Pop Evil’s 2018 self-titled set included the No.1 hit and newly certified Gold single “Waking Lions” and two other Top 10 hits. 2020’s Versatile, meanwhile, scored two No.1 rock songs: “Breathe Again” and “Survivor.” In 2023, the band released its seventh studio album Skeletons, which spawned their eighth and ninth No.1 singles: “Eye of the Storm” and “Skeletons.”

Worldwide Panic Release New Song/Video “Break Me Down”

Worldwide Panic Release New Song/Video “Break Me Down”

Hard Rock/Alt.Metal band Worldwide Panic have released their furious new track “Break Me Down”.  It’s the first release from the Los Angeles, CA based band’s upcoming sophomore LP, which is slated for release in the first quarter of 2025.  The song was produced by the legendary Bob Marlette (Seether, Airbourne, Saliva; Rob Zombie) and mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Demon Hunter, Rob Zombie).  The track is a rant against authority figures who try to break you down and control you through mind games.

“Break Me Down” starts off with a middle-eastern flavored sitar line, and then explodes into an ominous down-tuned rhythm, bolstered by crunching guitars and thunderous drums that sounds like equal parts Disturbed, Rammstein and Rob Zombie. The earworm chorus lingers long after the track has ended – making for a compelling anthem of frustration.

Worldwide Panic frontman Lane Steele says The song – like almost all of our songs – has a rich backstory. We were looking for producers to hire to work on our new material. We met with a famous producer at a multi-million dollar studio. We were told that our material wasn’t good and “Where’s the hook” – when its staring you in the face the whole time. We left and simply said to each other “Why should we work with someone who wants to break us down, just to build us up again?” And then the song was written within the next 48 hours. We recorded the song with a legend, Bob Marlette. He and his family poured their hearts and souls into this track. It helped make Worldwide Panic sound bigger than I could ever imagine. The experience was great and I am super proud of this track.”

Break Me Down – Cover Artwork

The video for “Break Me Down”  was directed by Andre Brown and filmed @ Monarch Film Studios in Los Angeles.  The performance piece is raw and expressive, and conveys the emotion of the song.

About Worldwide Panic:

With influences that range from Rammstein, Rob Zombie, and Disturbed, Worldwide Panic has a heavy Alt.Metal sound, with an industrial tinge.  They released an eponymous LP, Worldwide Panic in early 2023. The LP was mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Demon Hunter, Rob Zombie). The release made inroads at Active Rock Radio, charting with the singles “I Tried” (#23 on the Billboard Rock Indicator, #11 on the SMR Chart ) and “Falling Apart” (#25 on Billboard Rock Indicator and #6 on the SMR chart).

Worldwide Panic brings a unique theatrical experience to its live shows – their performances are packed with dynamic energy and excitement. Fans across the hard rock and metal spectrum find their music fresh and engaging. They have toured with Flaw, Smile Empty Soul, Hellzapoppin’, Mushroomhead, and The Convalescence, among others. The band has done several headlining tours in the last 5 years.

They recently completed work on their self-produced 2nd full length LP, which was again mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris.  The album is slated to be released in the 1st quarter of 2025.   Tour dates are in the works to begin in late spring of 2025.

From the Green Room interviews Artic Dreams

1. What’s the name of the band?

[ALEX_Y]: “Arctic Dreams”

[SYDIUS]: “Do we need to vary answers?”

[GENA]: “Arctic something something.. ”

[NENAD]: “Ark, Ticks, Drina.”

[ROMAN]: “Arctic Dreams as far as I know”

2. Where are you from?

[ALEX_Y]: “The project was founded in St. Petersburg, Russia. But due to all
known events we left this country and this city and now the project is stretched between
Belgrade and Berlin.”

[SYDIUS]: “Saint-Petersburg”

[GENA]: “I'm from the post-apocalyptic future, where most of humanity has been
wiped out by a deadly nuclear war, which was sparked off by an artificial intelligence. The
survivors fight extinction against the computer system&#and genocidal war on humanity…”

[NENAD]: “Dubai”

[ROMAN]: “Zauralie”

3. What type of music do you play?

[ALEX_Y]: “We call this arctic-dreams-metal – a frantic mix of traditional metal,
classical music and electronic gothic.”

[SYDIUS]: “Rock and metal”
[GENA]: “The type with a guitar in it”

[NENAD]: “Mostly metal, rock and folk”

4. Introduce yourselves to the readers and tell us what you do in the band?

[ALEX_Y]: “I am the vocalist, founder and composer of Arctic Dreams”

[SYDIUS]: “Play guitar and spoil songs with endless soloing”

[GENA]: “I play bass”

[NENAD]: “I play guitar and I help make the songs work.”

[ROMAN]: “I’m a drummer”

5. This is probably a common question but one that most want to know, what musical
influences did you have growing up, and what are some now?

[ALEX_Y]: “They are very huge)) Classical, gothic and heavy metal mostly.”

[SYDIUS]: “From classic rock into progressive, jazz and classics and now back and
forth”

[GENA]: “Ever since I was a kid, I loved listening to music, any music I could
reach. Now nothing has changed, style and genre are not important to me”

[NENAD]: “Very varied. Started off with pop rock and classical when I was a kid,
my parents took me to some events to see. I got interested in music to at least try it, so I
started off with piano and music lessons. The rest is history.”

[ROMAN]: “I started to listen to heavy music when I was 9 years old from Korol i
Shut. Then I had a period of being fun of Rammstein, Aria, Nightwish, and Blind
Guardian. When people ask me about my favorite band, I usually answer Blind Guardian
because they were the last band I could call my favorite. After them, I just was a fan of
Power Metal, then all kinds of Metal, now I listen to a lot of different music of many genres
so right now, I don’t have a favorite band at all.”

6. Have you always been into music? Was it something that just came to you
naturally?

[ALEX_Y]: “Yeah, since I was about 12. Music came a few years after I heard my
first heavy music album.”

[SYDIUS]: ” Don’t know if it’s legitimate to define a huge path of studies, activities, mistakes and discoveries naturally come”

[GENA]: “And how does the non-natural process work? Do they throw an
instrument at you and throw you on stage? ”

[NENAD]: “It was a way to express my natural creative side, but I didn’t commit to
it until later in life when I studied it better. It was pretty much on and off until my teenage
years, that was when the sparks started flying. Now it is as natural to me as breathing.”

[ROMAN]: “I have played drums since school, and I would say that it was pretty
natural for me”

7. What can we expect from the band in the rest of 2024 and beyond into 2025?

[ALEX_Y]: “Finishing the second album is our main objective”

[SYDIUS]: “Hopefully acceleration of creative activity”

[GENA]: “New music, new live shows”

[NENAD]: “Finishing preproduction for the new album and possibly churn out a
show.”

[ROMAN]: “-”

From the Green Room interview with Versa

Thanks for taking some time to chat with From the Green Room

1. What’s the name of the band?

Versa
2. Where are you from?

Victoria, on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada.

3. What type of music do you play?

A mix of post-rock, progressive rock, and indie rock.

4. Introduce yourselves to the readers and tell us what you do in the band?

I’m Matthew Dolmage, and I play flute, guitar, piano, and sing in the band.

5. This is probably a common question but one that most want to know, what musical
influences did you have growing up, and what are some now?

My biggest influences when I first started writing music were Jethro Tull, Sigur
Ros, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, Sufjan Stevens, and Andy Creeggan.
Those are still important artists for me, but lately I’ve been listening to a lot more
modern progressive rock and metal – artists like Haken, Caligula’s Horse, Neal
Morse, and Big Big Train – which have had a big influence on our more recent
songs.

6. Have you always been into music? Was it something that just came to you
naturally?

Yes – my mom was a pianist and I’ve been playing music for as long as I can
remember. Hollas, or violinist, grew up in a musical home as well –his parents were
both professional musicians and his father was head of the School of Music at the
University of Victoria, and Jesse, our drummer, also comes from a musical family –
his father is a multi-Juno award winning singer/songwriter.

7. What can we expect from the band in the rest of 2024 and beyond into 2025?

We’ve got a couple more music videos coming to support our most recent album, “A
Voyage / A Destination, Part 2”, released on October 4 th . We’re also returning to
live performance for the first time in almost 8 years, with a show at one of our
favourite venues, Lucky Bar here in Victoria on December 13 th . In 2025 we’ll be
playing a few more shows and starting work on our next album.

8. For someone who wants to know more about the band, were can they find you at?
And where can they find your music?

Best place to go is www.versa-music.com – it’s a link tree to our social media
accounts, youTube page, Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music streaming pages, and our
Bandcamp, where you can buy physical CDs and digital downloads.

9. Let’s answer some fun questions, what is your all time favorite band?
Jethro Tull, Genesis, and Barenaked Ladies are my top-3.

10. If you could tour with any band and open or have them open for you, who would
you choose?

It’d be an honour to open for any of the bands and artists that we’ve had the
pleasure of collaborating with on the last two albums – we’ve had members of
Haken, Caligula’s Horse, iamthemorning, Neal Morse Band, Big Big Train,
Marching Mind, eMolecule, Moon Letters, and Wobbler play on our recent albums,
which has been amazing. We are probably going to get something going with Moon
Letters in 2025 – they’re in Seattle and we’re in Victoria, so it makes sense! Of the
other bands, I think we’d be a great fit to open for Big Big Train – maybe some day!
Thanks for chatting with me From the Green Room and look forward to chatting
again in the future.

CARSEX Share New Track “Sitting Ducks”

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 11 Second

CARSEX Share New Track “Sitting Ducks”

Punk band CARSEX have released their ferocious new track “Sitting Ducks”.  It’s the follow-up to the Long Beach, CA based band’s successful single & video “Crooked Canvas”.  Both were produced by Steve Evetts (Sepultura, Alesana, Poison the Well, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Butcher Babies).  The track is a deep dive into current human-interest stories, and the shape of the human condition in 2024.

“Sitting Ducks” is a frenetic, all-out barrage of sound with distorted guitars & a menacing rhythm line that explodes into a supersonic metal/punk mashup. It’s a mix of Henry Rollins/Black Flag, with a bit of Danzig mixed in for good measure.  It’s an unrelenting anthem of angst.

CARSEX Singer Nigel Burk says Sitting Ducks’ is a kind of “they live” type song. It covers the helplessness and monotony of a modern world and the meaninglessness that follows what’s viewed “important” by society at large, and the misalignment of priorities in today’s chaotic times”.

About CARSEX:

CARSEX amped-up sound is what the name implies: Sleazy, primitive, uncomfortable – and just as good as your friends told you it’d be.

Forged by the survivors of Long Beach music scene bands Damned Age, Black Velvet Brigade, and Red River Massacre, the five music veterans in CARSEX have slugged it out in the clubs of Orange County, California for more than 10 years.  While performing shows in these various groups on the circuit they became friends over time.  As the bands they were in either dissolved or changed direction – they decided to form under a new banner with shared musical tastes & goals, and CARSEX formed in 2018. Their sound is a mix of Circle Jerks/Black Flag/The Germs, with Danzig, Fu Manchu & a bit Queens of the Stone Age blended into a potent combination. They play hard and loud with no hint of an apology.

The band has previously released 2 EPs: 2019’s CarSex and 2020’s 2020 EPwhich featured the singles “Your Generation” and “Lovesick”.   A new EP is being finalized and will be released in the 1st quarter of 2025.

CARSEX is very much a live band, and is playing shows in support the new music.  They’ve opened for Stillwell (Fieldy from Korn’s Band), The Obsessed, Mondo Generator, Suicide Silence, Unsane, Dead Poet’s Society, Narcoleptic Youth, and O’Zorn!, among others.

JOSIE LOCKHART ‘Every Kind of Light’ Release Date: October 18th

Ahead of the release of his sophomore album What Golden Hues, Josie Lockhart is set to unleash his first single ‘Every Kind of Light’ on October 18th, a foot stomping americana filled listen, that will grab your attention from the moment you hit play.

After Austin synth-pop group Sphynx went on hiatus in 2019, frontman Aaron Miller found himself adrift. “I had hundreds of songs on my hard drives in various stages of completion, all over the place,” Miller says. “So much of my identity was wrapped up in trying to be a successful musician that I started to wonder if it was healthy. I tried to put it down for a while.” Miller spent a few months working to remove the expectations he had set for himself and reconnect with the songwriting process. “I realised itʼs something I need for myself, I donʼt feel right unless Iʼm putting together an album in my head. Miller continued to tinker in his South Austin home studio and it wasnʼt long before he emerged with a sonic identity that blended his synth-pop background with the americana and twang he had grown up around.

Miller introduced his Josie Lockhart moniker with the 2021 release of Santa Rosa, mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, Grizzly Bear, Future Islands), the album went on to be featured on the BBC, NPR, American Songwriter, Obscure Sound and Fresh On The Net, as well as picking up radio-play in the US, UK, Australia, Spain, and Brazil. “Making Santa Rosa was a cathartic experience,” says Miller, who performed and recorded the album entirely by himself. “That album broke some kind of seal, and I just kept putting songs together.” Two months after the release of Santa Rosa, Miller holed up at his familyʼs home in Durango, Colorado and assembled a collection of 11 tracks for Josie Lockhartʼs sophomore album, What Golden Hues.

uns with it. The album features steel guitar, wurlitzer, and saxophone on a bed of analog synth; heartland rock with a modern spin. Millerʼs lyrics are earnest, and the melodies and harmonies soar. The upcoming album signifies a return to his roots. I wanted to draw from the well of music I grew up listening to, Lucinda Williams, Bruce Springsteen, Townes Van Zandt, Miller says. The playing is masterful and the production shines. Where Santa Rosa introduced an artist, What Golden Hues reveals a songwriter in his prime, an artist fully formed.

Josie wrote ‘Every Kind of Light’ and recorded the demo in his South Austin home studio. After that, he took it to Carey McGraw at Club Sound Machine Studios in Lockhart, TX and brought in session players from Austin and Nashville to help produce a studio version of the track. The new single offers a tasteful glimpse of What Golden Hues, promising an incredible new era for the hard-working artist.

When it comes to the specific meaning behind his addictive new single, Josie has channelled into an honest theme of fulfilment that comes with growing up: “This is a song about a feeling of contentment and understanding that comes as you become an adult. After searching and feeling like you’re falling short of your goals in your 20s, I’ve found some peace with my station in life as a dad in my 30s, and a great deal of gratitude. I needed that wanderlust to get here though.”
