Hard Rock/Alt.Metal band Worldwide Panic have released their furious new track “Break Me Down”. It’s the first release from the Los Angeles, CA based band’s upcoming sophomore LP, which is slated for release in the first quarter of 2025. The song was produced by the legendary Bob Marlette (Seether, Airbourne, Saliva; Rob Zombie) and mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Demon Hunter, Rob Zombie). The track is a rant against authority figures who try to break you down and control you through mind games.
“Break Me Down” starts off with a middle-eastern flavored sitar line, and then explodes into an ominous down-tuned rhythm, bolstered by crunching guitars and thunderous drums that sounds like equal parts Disturbed, Rammstein and Rob Zombie. The earworm chorus lingers long after the track has ended – making for a compelling anthem of frustration.
Worldwide Panic frontman Lane Steele says “The song – like almost all of our songs – has a rich backstory. We were looking for producers to hire to work on our new material. We met with a famous producer at a multi-million dollar studio. We were told that our material wasn’t good and “Where’s the hook” – when its staring you in the face the whole time. We left and simply said to each other “Why should we work with someone who wants to break us down, just to build us up again?” And then the song was written within the next 48 hours. We recorded the song with a legend, Bob Marlette. He and his family poured their hearts and souls into this track. It helped make Worldwide Panic sound bigger than I could ever imagine. The experience was great and I am super proud of this track.”

The video for “Break Me Down” was directed by Andre Brown and filmed @ Monarch Film Studios in Los Angeles. The performance piece is raw and expressive, and conveys the emotion of the song.

Fozzy with special guests Seventh Day Slumber, Magdalene Rose and The Nocturnal Affair rolled into Angola, Indiana at the Eclectic Room with their Spotlight On North America Tour on Saturday October 21, 2023. There was “Nowhere to Run” as a line of fans gathered in front of the venue before the doors were opened. The light drizzle did not scare the crowd away from wanting to be one of the first into the building.
The Nocturnal Affair got things started for the night. Hailing from fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, they brought their very unique sound to the stage. The band has an alternative rock vibe with undertones of industrial and dark rock. Ending on a fun note, they played the 1993 hit by Haddaway, What is Love!
Hitting the stage next was Magdalene Rose. The lead vocalist Maggie, is formerly of the all sister band GFM. Maggie leads the band with an extremely high energy and amazing vocals that can go from screaming to melodic and back again. The band has a heavy vibe and awesome breakdowns.
The final opening band of the night, Seventh Day Slumber, made a quick transition after Magdalene Rose, as they share the same drummer and guitarist. SDS is a rock band based out of Nashville, TN. They have been going strong in the rock scene for over 20 years. Lead vocalist Joseph Rojas speaks of a message of overcoming life’s adversity during their set, and shares a story of hope.
The crowd was ready to rock the rest of the night with Fozzy- as front man Chris Jericho welcomed their fans holding up a red solo cup to kick off their set. Chris was decked out in a cheetah print studded jacket and his custom Fozzy shoes. It’s always fun to see what outfits he wears on tour as they are always unique. Fozzy is one of the most talented and entertaining bands to watch-they love their fans and are there to not only play some great rock tunes, but they are there to show you a good time and are always successful in doing so. With Rich Ward aka The Duke on guitar and dancing around the stage, the amazing Grant Brooks on the drum kit, Billy Gray also on guitar and PJ Farley rocking the bass, you will have a blast at a Fozzy show, that is a guarantee.

While I don’t speak Scandanavian listing to this album I felt like I did, and after almost a decade-long hiatus Pannivagn ia back with thier third album Evil kaos, and this is a no-excuses larger than life rock n roll album from the middle of Norway.
Pannivagn shows influences not only from their evolved rock n roll style but hints of Nu-Metal roots with a little metal and pop music mixed in. If you like upbeat and energetic tracks that make you want to move this band brings it from the opening track to the last track on the album. Definitely worth a listen.

Chaoseum is a Swiss Nu-metal/Metalcore band that formed in 2018 in Lausanne (Switzerland) and have played iconic venues like the legendary Whisky a Go Go, and have shared the stage with bands such to the likes of Eluvettie, Five Finger Death Punch and Metallica.
Chaoseum have released their fourth album since 2018, the follow up to their acoustic album Second Skin, and this is probably the best so far and it jumps out in your face from the first track I, Sexy Zombie as you go down the track list the songs punch you in the face harder each time, title track The Third Eye slows it down with an almost melodic chant to calm you down and sooth you for just a moment, all the way down to the last track What If, an album that makes you want to drive fast and punch people but still offers the slower tracks that are what I would consider Nu-metal ballads.

Novacrow has released their first full length album Look at me now follow up to the very successful EP’s Black Syrup, Criminal Mastermind and Novacrow Vol1, and it showcases the best of Novacrow so far.
Look at me Now combines a wild blend of genres, with tracks line “Hollow Armour” where the start is melodic and dark to “Not your Mannequin” that gets faster, and harder album is mixed with eclectic sounds infused with sharp influences of horror and as always Novacrow sprinkles in a dash of humour.
Novacrow really shows the evolution of not only as a band but as individuals as well.
