Worldwide Panic Release New Song/Video “Break Me Down”

Hard Rock/Alt.Metal band Worldwide Panic have released their furious new track “Break Me Down”.  It’s the first release from the Los Angeles, CA based band’s upcoming sophomore LP, which is slated for release in the first quarter of 2025.  The song was produced by the legendary Bob Marlette (Seether, Airbourne, Saliva; Rob Zombie) and mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Demon Hunter, Rob Zombie).  The track is a rant against authority figures who try to break you down and control you through mind games.

“Break Me Down” starts off with a middle-eastern flavored sitar line, and then explodes into an ominous down-tuned rhythm, bolstered by crunching guitars and thunderous drums that sounds like equal parts Disturbed, Rammstein and Rob Zombie. The earworm chorus lingers long after the track has ended – making for a compelling anthem of frustration.

Worldwide Panic frontman Lane Steele says The song – like almost all of our songs – has a rich backstory. We were looking for producers to hire to work on our new material. We met with a famous producer at a multi-million dollar studio. We were told that our material wasn’t good and “Where’s the hook” – when its staring you in the face the whole time. We left and simply said to each other “Why should we work with someone who wants to break us down, just to build us up again?” And then the song was written within the next 48 hours. We recorded the song with a legend, Bob Marlette. He and his family poured their hearts and souls into this track. It helped make Worldwide Panic sound bigger than I could ever imagine. The experience was great and I am super proud of this track.”

Break Me Down – Cover Artwork

The video for “Break Me Down”  was directed by Andre Brown and filmed @ Monarch Film Studios in Los Angeles.  The performance piece is raw and expressive, and conveys the emotion of the song.

About Worldwide Panic:

With influences that range from Rammstein, Rob Zombie, and Disturbed, Worldwide Panic has a heavy Alt.Metal sound, with an industrial tinge.  They released an eponymous LP, Worldwide Panic in early 2023. The LP was mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Demon Hunter, Rob Zombie). The release made inroads at Active Rock Radio, charting with the singles “I Tried” (#23 on the Billboard Rock Indicator, #11 on the SMR Chart ) and “Falling Apart” (#25 on Billboard Rock Indicator and #6 on the SMR chart).

Worldwide Panic brings a unique theatrical experience to its live shows – their performances are packed with dynamic energy and excitement. Fans across the hard rock and metal spectrum find their music fresh and engaging. They have toured with Flaw, Smile Empty Soul, Hellzapoppin’, Mushroomhead, and The Convalescence, among others. The band has done several headlining tours in the last 5 years.

They recently completed work on their self-produced 2nd full length LP, which was again mastered by Chris “Zeuss” Harris.  The album is slated to be released in the 1st quarter of 2025.   Tour dates are in the works to begin in late spring of 2025.

Interview with Talk Radio

Thanks for taking some time to chat with From the Green Room

1. What’s the name of the band?
Talkradio.

2. Where are you from?

Melbourne, Australia.

3. What type of music do you play?

I’d say “alternative” or “indie” rock would be as close as you can get.

4. Introduce yourselves to the readers and tell us what you do in the band?

My name is Alex. I’m the only one in this project. I write all the music and lyrics,
perform all the vocals, play the drums, guitars, keys/piano and any other required
percussion, as well as create all the artwork for the CD releases.

5. This is probably a common question but one that most want to know, what musical
influences did you have growing up, and what are some now?

It’s a bit of a mix. To begin with, I learnt drums in my teens. My uncle was a great
drummer (mum’s cousin really) and he was a huge fan of people like Billy Cobham and
Ginger Baker. Through my own musical explorations, I added people like Neil Peart,
Virgil Donati and Danny Carey to that list (unbelievably I ended up becoming friends
with a singer who worked with Virgil and took my uncle to a gig). Once I started singing,
I was being inspired by people like Bruce Dickinson, John Farnham and, my ultimate
hero, Chris Cornell. These days, my influences are purely from a song writing
perspective. For years, my number one song writing influence has been Foo Fighters. I’m
a huge admirer of Dave Grohl’s ability to churn out melodic hooks like he has a
bottomless pit of ideas. Other influences include Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Radiohead and
The Beatles.

6. Have you always been into music? Was it something that just came to you
naturally?

I’ve been told I’ve always been musical. I used to drum in time to songs from the age of
3. Even so, music wasn’t my first artistic pursuit. I started as an actor at the age of 12. I
did quite a bit of theatre, TV and even a film over a period of 5 years. When I finished
high school and it was time to go to uni, my parents stopped supporting my acting
ambitions. They actively blocked my attempts, which was simple for them really. All
they had to do was stop driving me around to where I needed to go. By the time I got my
licence and was able to get around myself, my acting agency had been sold, I was no

longer on their books and my actors equity membership had expired. At this stage, I had
no drum kit at home either and was relegated to practicing on various pieces of furniture
in front of the stereo. At some point my cousin, who happened to be a great drummer,
invited me to watch his band at a rehearsal studio. It turned out they had no singer and
insisted I get on the microphone to give them a guide. It took a lot of convincing. They
kept asking me back every weekend. That’s how the singing began. Not long after that, I
joined a band and signed up for singing lessons.

7. What can we expect from the band in the rest of 2023 and beyond into 2024?

I’m currently working on my next recording. It will be a 5 track EP. I won’t be waiting to
do entire albums anymore.

8. For someone who wants to know more about the band, were can they find you at?
And where can they find your music?

Everything I have can be found on www.talkradioaus.com.au, including where you can
find my music. You can also follow on www.facebook.com/talkradio.aus.

9. Let’s answer some fun questions, what is your all time favorite band?

Soundgarden, with Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam close behind.

10. If you could tour with any band and open or have them open for you, who would
you choose?
Opening for Foo Fighters would be the pinnacle of anything I’d ever achieved. I don’t
think I’d even care if I didn’t get paid. That sounds so ridiculous that even typing that
answer is making me giggle.

Thanks for chatting with me From the Green Room and look forward to chatting
again in the future.
Thanks so much.

Rick Monroe & The Hitmen Premieres "Worth The Hurt" Music Video on Rock Rage Radio

Nashville, Tenn. (March 5, 2024) — TLG/Virgin Music Group recording artists Rick Monroe & The Hitmen continue to gather momentum for their latest single “Worth The Hurt” (currently bubbling under at #52 on last week’s SMR chart while maintaining its top-10 standing among the Most Adds of active/mainstream rock in secondary markets). To support its upward climb, the group is pleased to premiere the official music video TODAY exclusively through Rock Rage Radio.

Additionally, “Worth The Hurt” has been made available in Dolby Atmos, a new spacial audio technology that allows you to “hear music like you’ve never heard it before” and deliver the ULTIMATE listening experience for fans and audiophiles to enjoy.

“Even though it adds several steps to the mixing and mastering process, getting the track on Atmos was important to us,” says Monroe.”We wanted fans to know… just like the single says, that they are ‘Worth The Hurt.’ We aren’t doing our work as a band if we aren’t striving to provide the best quality music we can to our fans. That’s our job,” he says.”Now, it’s the fan’s job to go out and give it a listen!”

Co-written by MonroeJared Weeks and Scott Wilson of Saving Abel, and multi-Grammy and multi-Dove award-winning producer and composer, Skidd Mills (Skillet, Third Day, Saliva, Katie Arminger), who also produced the track, “Worth The Hurt” is an angsty, uptempo banger that highlights the addictive qualities and unhealthy co-dependence of a love gone wrong.

Stream / download “Worth The Hurt” at https://ffm.to/worththehurt

The single serves as a tantalizing preview of the exceptional content that awaits fans in the group’s highly anticipated, full-length vinyl project, SIX GUN SOUL, scheduled for release on April 12. This album features previously acclaimed singles such as “World’s Gone Crazy” and “God’s Ear”, the latter earning praise from discerning critics like Robert K. Oermann (Music Row) and respected musicians, including Shawn Drover (formerly of Megadeth).

About Rick Monroe & The Hitmen:

World-class entertainers Rick Monroe & The Hitmen have no desire to trace the trail of every trend. Instead, they serve up a “poly-jam-orous” recipe they call “Blue Jean Rock” –artistically organic and spiced with a heavy blend of their musical influences to reflect country sensibilities with a rock and roll beat. As a result, the group has built a solid legion of fans across the globe and recently surpassed over 4.3 MILLION logged views on YouTube and over one MILLION captured streams without the benefit of ever appearing on a core editorial playlist.

Monroe brings his music and a magnetic presence wherever he goes and is no stranger to the stage: he’s performed in 17 countries – and every U.S. state including Washington DC & Puerto Rico. The seven-time Jägermeister Country Brand Ambassador has toured with QueensrӱcheLynyrd SkynyrdEric ChurchDierks BentleyLee BiceAaron LewisEli Young BandPat Green, and Randy Houser, as well as has opened for Country Music Legends like Charlie Daniels BandDwight YoakamTravis TrittPatty Loveless and more. He has entertained the USOAFEU.S. troops in Vietnam, and former Soviet President, Mikhail Gorbachev. His brother called him “Elvis Gump” because of all the amazing people and places his career has led him.

For those unfamiliar with his music, Rick advises them to come to the show for a good time and to be ready for “just about anything.” “I love to play,” the singer notes. “And I want everyone to play along. I like to think of my shows as an interactive sport”–one that he will now play with the help of his permanent bandmates, Bobby Perkins (guitar), Alan Beeler (bass), and Jason Bohl (drums), also known as The Hitmen because “they kill it every single night!”

Fozzy's Spotlight on America Tour envades The Eclectic Room

Fozzy with special guests Seventh Day Slumber, Magdalene Rose and The Nocturnal Affair rolled into Angola, Indiana at the Eclectic Room with their Spotlight On North America Tour on Saturday October 21, 2023. There was “Nowhere to Run” as a line of fans gathered in front of the venue before the doors were opened. The light drizzle did not scare the crowd away from wanting to be one of the first into the building.

The Nocturnal Affair got things started for the night. Hailing from fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, they brought their very unique sound to the stage. The band has an alternative rock vibe with undertones of industrial and dark rock. Ending on a fun note, they played the 1993 hit by Haddaway, What is Love!

Hitting the stage next was Magdalene Rose. The lead vocalist Maggie, is formerly of the all sister band GFM. Maggie leads the band with an extremely high energy and amazing vocals that can go from screaming to melodic and back again. The band has a heavy vibe and awesome breakdowns.

The final opening band of the night, Seventh Day Slumber, made a quick transition after Magdalene Rose, as they share the same drummer and guitarist. SDS is a rock band based out of Nashville, TN. They have been going strong in the rock scene for over 20 years. Lead vocalist Joseph Rojas speaks of a message of overcoming life’s adversity during their set, and shares a story of hope.

The crowd was ready to rock the rest of the night with Fozzy- as front man Chris Jericho welcomed their fans holding up a red solo cup to kick off their set. Chris was decked out in a cheetah print studded jacket and his custom Fozzy shoes. It’s always fun to see what outfits he wears on tour as they are always unique. Fozzy is one of the most talented and entertaining bands to watch-they love their fans and are there to not only play some great rock tunes, but they are there to show you a good time and are always successful in doing so. With Rich Ward aka The Duke on guitar and dancing around the stage, the amazing Grant Brooks on the drum kit, Billy Gray also on guitar and PJ Farley rocking the bass, you will have a blast at a Fozzy show, that is a guarantee.

Album review

Venus Fly Trap release the album Time Lapse 1989-1994, Keyboard’s and Syntonizers take you back to a time to a time of funky rock music of the 80’s. That is what you get with Venus Fly Trap. The album gives you a little of everything from heavy quick beats of the track ” Cloud 9 lips” & ” Rainy Latavian Wedding ” with its heavy guitars.

To the whimsical sounds of chimes on the track “shadow ministry” throw in some bass riffs on “Storm Clouds are gathering” you have a mixed bag of different sounds, definitely worth a listen.

Review: Pannivagn-Evig kaos

Read Time:41 Second

While I don’t speak Scandanavian listing to this album I felt like I did, and after almost a decade-long hiatus Pannivagn ia back with thier third album Evil kaos, and this is a no-excuses larger than life rock n roll album from the middle of Norway.

Pannivagn shows influences not only from their evolved rock n roll style but hints of Nu-Metal roots with a little metal and pop music mixed in. If you like upbeat and energetic tracks that make you want to move this band brings it from the opening track to the last track on the album. Definitely worth a listen.

Review: Chaoseum-The Third Eye

Read Time:57 Second

Chaoseum is a Swiss Nu-metal/Metalcore band that formed in 2018 in Lausanne (Switzerland) and have played iconic venues like the legendary Whisky a Go Go, and have shared the stage with bands such to the likes of Eluvettie, Five Finger Death Punch and Metallica.

Chaoseum have released their fourth album since 2018, the follow up to their acoustic album Second Skin, and this is probably the best so far and it jumps out in your face from the first track I, Sexy Zombie as you go down the track list the songs punch you in the face harder each time, title track The Third Eye slows it down with an almost melodic chant to calm you down and sooth you for just a moment, all the way down to the last track What If, an album that makes you want to drive fast and punch people but still offers the slower tracks that are what I would consider Nu-metal ballads.
