Fozzy's Spotlight on America Tour envades The Eclectic Room

Fozzy with special guests Seventh Day Slumber, Magdalene Rose and The Nocturnal Affair rolled into Angola, Indiana at the Eclectic Room with their Spotlight On North America Tour on Saturday October 21, 2023. There was “Nowhere to Run” as a line of fans gathered in front of the venue before the doors were opened. The light drizzle did not scare the crowd away from wanting to be one of the first into the building.

The Nocturnal Affair got things started for the night. Hailing from fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, they brought their very unique sound to the stage. The band has an alternative rock vibe with undertones of industrial and dark rock. Ending on a fun note, they played the 1993 hit by Haddaway, What is Love!

Hitting the stage next was Magdalene Rose. The lead vocalist Maggie, is formerly of the all sister band GFM. Maggie leads the band with an extremely high energy and amazing vocals that can go from screaming to melodic and back again. The band has a heavy vibe and awesome breakdowns.

The final opening band of the night, Seventh Day Slumber, made a quick transition after Magdalene Rose, as they share the same drummer and guitarist. SDS is a rock band based out of Nashville, TN. They have been going strong in the rock scene for over 20 years. Lead vocalist Joseph Rojas speaks of a message of overcoming life’s adversity during their set, and shares a story of hope.

The crowd was ready to rock the rest of the night with Fozzy- as front man Chris Jericho welcomed their fans holding up a red solo cup to kick off their set. Chris was decked out in a cheetah print studded jacket and his custom Fozzy shoes. It’s always fun to see what outfits he wears on tour as they are always unique. Fozzy is one of the most talented and entertaining bands to watch-they love their fans and are there to not only play some great rock tunes, but they are there to show you a good time and are always successful in doing so. With Rich Ward aka The Duke on guitar and dancing around the stage, the amazing Grant Brooks on the drum kit, Billy Gray also on guitar and PJ Farley rocking the bass, you will have a blast at a Fozzy show, that is a guarantee.

For one of the biggest and anticipated fall club tours, the Psycho Thunder tour featuring The Hu, Asking Alexandria and Zero 9:36 came to a sold out Piere’s Entertainment, in NE Indiana last Friday nite, the crowd defiantly showed up for the three acts that took the stage.

We kicked the show with Zero 9:36 who has really blossomed as an artist since the first time he played at Piere’s, even under the weather he still put on a great set for the crowd “Piere’s is one of my favorite places to play” Zero told the packed house. He played a full set of songs including the crowd favorite “Adrenaline.”

The Show kicked it up a notch with the heavy hitting Asking Alexandria, which consist of Danny Worsnop (Lead Vocals) Ben Bruce (Guitar), Cammron Liddell (Guitar), James Cassells (Drums) that formed in 2006. Asking Alexandria would take the stage and open “The Violence”, See What’s Inside” and “Alone Again” to name a few off the set that they played.

The final act was everyone’s favorite Mongolian metal head The HU, who rocked the crowd, performing songs that the crowd seemed to know very well, playing their native instruments they put on a great show playing a full 75-minute set. You can tell they enjoy what they do and the crowd for sure loves them and the music

Disturbed invades Noblesville for the “Take Back your Life tour” with Breaking Benjamin & Jinjer

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 39 Second

Disturbed a band that needs no introductions, as they have done so many times over the years brought the “Take Back your Life tour” to Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana and what looked to be sold out crowd would not be disappointed.

On this tour they would bring along Breaking Benjamin and Ukrainian metal band Jinjer in support of the new album “Divisive“.

Jinjer would open the show, and if you have not seen this band live before you are in for a show, the lead vocalist Tetiana Shmailyuk’s vocal range that can go from melodic to a growling scream is amazing, the way she can belt out the lyrics to their songs such as “Pisces”, Tetiana puts in great effort for the set and feeds off the crowd’s energy.

Breaking Benjamin who always puts on a great show when they come to town, and of course if you are in attendance, you will probably be singing along with Ben as he loves to get the crowd involved with the set, and if you are a fan of the Breaking Benjamin then you probably have memorized the lyrics to their whole catalog. They would of course open with Failure and the set list would include Breath, Until The End, and they would end the set with I will Not Bow.

Finally, the band that most likely everyone was there to see Disturbed, for anyone who has seen Disturbed live knows they always bring some kind of pyro and for the Take Back Your Life tour it is no different from opening song to closing they had the fire, which is really cool but generates the heat for sure, can’t imagine the heat they feel on stage, but being the professionals they are it didn’t seem to faze them at all, they put on one heck of a show and all the times I have seen them live as a fan and as a photographer I have not been disappointed.

After two years, Motley Crew and Def Lepard finally invade Lucas Oil Stadium..

Read Time:1 Minute, 59 Second

What could be talked about as the biggest concert of the summer, the day was finally here as thousands of fans showed up to rock with Motley Crew and Def Lepard brought their 2022 stadium tour to Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium.

Opening the show was Classless Act out Los Angeles, California who have been blazing a trail as of late, hooked up on this tour and brought the energy, they may be young, but they sure can rock, and the crowd really liked their set.

Setting the stage for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, as the crowd anticipation for the headliners grew while they sang along to classic like “Cherry Bomb” “Hate myself for Loving you” and of Course “I Love Rock n Roll”

Whenever Poison is performing you have to know it will be a party and this time was no different and they did not disappoint and by the reaction of the crowd they would have to agree, opening with “Look what the cat dragged in” got the crowd warmed for what was a pure party for the rest of the set, and Brett Michaels was excited to be back in Indy for sure as he interacted with the crowd and having a moment as he spoke to them.

And now was time for the co-headliner for the Indy show as Def Lepard and Motley Crew would alternate who closed the show in this case, whomever was closing the show it was a win win for the crowd for sure. Def Lepard had a really cool stage lots of video screens and production, they would come out to a roaring ovation of the crowd, hitting on all cylinders with “Take what you want,” “Fire It Up,” and “Animal” a great way to start the show to say the least they would mix in some stuff off their newest album Diamond Star Halos closing with an encore of “Rock of Ages” and “Photograph”

And a Motley Crew show would not be the same without back up dancers dancing on stage and that they were, the stage set up for this tour was incredible a post-apocalyptic style very well done, and the crowd was pumped to see Vince and the guys do their thing and they didn’t miss a beat. What a great line up for summer show. Until next time keep on rocking.

Rob Zombie brings Freaks on Parade tour to Ruoff

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 2 Second

Brien Mitchum

From the Green Room

Rob Zombie brought his Freaks on Parade tour to Ruoff Music Center on Thursday night along with Mudvayne, Static-X and Powerman 5000. Despite issues with the production trailer catching on fire en route to the venue and having the cables which caused delays and Static-X and Powerman 5000 not to be able to perform their sets.

This also caused the show to be pushed back not once but twice to 9:15 when Mudvayne would finally open the show, and though they had a shortened set and only played seven songs, they played with super high energy pumping up the crowd Vocalist Chad Gray took to the barricades to interact with fans, as he sang the words to “Dig”.

For not being on a major tour in almost a decade they did not disappoint the longtime fans and the first-time fans that had not had a chance to see them live.

Rob would do all that he could to not cancel the show in front of a packed growing impatient crowd. And when he finally took the stage with it forced to be shorten as well with all the delays that had taken place

We tried everything we could not to cancel on you guys,” Zombie told the crowd, letting them know how much the band appreciated them sticking around in the heat and being patient while they got things going. “Did anyone get a sunburn on their ass from the sun?” he asked, which got a giant roar from the crowd.

If you have never seen Zombie live you are in for a treat, he not only brings the party but lots of stage props and a huge production, from the giant devil for the opener with “Meet the Creeper”, alien during “Well everybody’s Fucking in a UFO” and a dancing robot during “More human than human”.

To say that it was not disappointing to not see all the bands on tour, Rob would make it up to the crowd by bringing Static-X’s Zero and Spider from Powerman 5000 to do a rendition of “Blitzkrieg Bop” so that the crowd would still get to see the openers in some aspect.

This show turned out to be a long night of sitting around and waiting but in the end even with lemons they somehow turned it into lemonade and saved the show.

10 Years plays Piere’s Entertainment along with Black Map, VRSTY.

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 11 Second

By Rachel Miller

What better way to spend a Wednesday evening than at the legendary Piere’s Entertainment
Center! Now reopened for over a year, they have brought the party back to Fort Wayne! This
night was no exception, with a solid lineup of 10 Years, Black Map, and VRSTY.
First up to take the stage was New York City’s R&B and post-hardcore infused band, VRSTY.
VRSTY is composed of Joey Varela [vocals], Javy Dorrejo [bass], Chris Cody [drums],
and Paul Gregory [guitar]. The band was formed in 2015 with their unique musical
fusion. Songs like “Sick” and “Shameless” got the crowd warmed up and rockin’! VRSTY
is a super high energy band that was running and thrashing all over the stage during
their set. With Joey’s melodic vocals and absolutely soul ripping drums and guitar,
VRSTY is a force to be reckoned with and you’ll likely see more from these guys in the
future.

Next up was San Fransico’s post-hardcore trio Black Map. The band consists of Mark
Engles [Guitar], Chris Robyn [Drums] and Ben Flanagan [Vocals/Bass]. The crowd was
getting warmed up and ready for the headliner 10 Years, and Black Map brought it home
with Ben’s strong and tantalizing vocals, Mark’s amazing guitar riffs and Chris’s supherb
drum action. Black Map would classify as a good ol’ heart thumping rock and roll band.

Finally, what the crowd had waited all night to see, 10 Years hit the stage. Hailing from
Knoxville, TN, the nearly 20 year old alternative hard rock trio is made up of Jesse Hasek
[vocals], Brian Vodinh [drums], and Matt Wantland [guitar]. Jesse came out sporting a
17th century plague doctor style white mask, which added a moody vibe to the set. He sang
several songs donning the mask, before it was ditched. The group had a 17 song set list
including hit tracks “Fix Me”, “The Unknown”, “So Long, Good-bye”, “The Shift”,
“Novacaine”, and “Wasteland”. Jesse was very engaged with the crowd, leaning out and
giving high-fives and fist-bumps, talking to the crowd in between songs. You could tell he
really loves the fans and enjoys the connection to the crowd. This night was an extra special
night as well, it was Jesse’s birthday. A birthday cake was even brought out on stage.
Hugs were given, glasses were raised and it was a cool celebratory moment. All in all, 10
Years is a very talented rock band that will have you singing along and banging your head if
you get the chance to catch one of their shows.

Save the World Tour with Fozzy, GFM, Krash Karma & Nocturnal Affair

0 0
Read Time:2 Minute, 34 Second

Fozzy currently on the Save the World Tour, with support from GFM, Krash Karma, and Nocturnal Affair made their long-awaited return to world famous Piere’s on Friday night, and Fozzy did not disappoint the crowd putting on a show that Fozzy fan’s will not soon forget.

The packed house also got treated to some kick ass support on the tour with Fozzy, and one of those bands might just have stolen the show on this night forging their place in the history of this epic venue.

Fozzy with new music, new band front man Chris Jericho walked out with cup in hand and a big smile excited to be back at Piere’s for the first time in a while. Bringing lots of energy and flare, opening their set with hit songs “Insane.” “Drinking with Jesus” and Painless off their current album Boombox.

Jericho and the rest of Fozzy sure gave the crowd at Piere’s their money’s worth on a chili Friday night.

Coming to the stage before Fozzy was GFM, rocking the stage in their trademark cheerleader outfits Maggie, CJ, and Lulu might have stolen the show on this night, not only did they rock the stage, but they can play their instruments as well, these sibling sisters might just be the next big thing in metal or as they have named their own type of metal, beautycore.

These girls can hang with the best of them when it comes to headbanging songs but are rising fast and might just become the new queens of metal in the future, and that they are blazing that trail at a fast pace in just a few years and are a must see if you have not yet, and if you have then you will want to see them live again and often.

GFM performed songs off their Operation Takeover Ep they poured their heart and soul into their set with “Bones,” “Selfish,” and “Smile”. GFM is set to release a new EP in May of this year.

Krash Karma a two-piece band reminiscent of the White Stripes surprised the crowd as they walked out playing a snare drum and a bullhorn yelling to the crowd “wake them up” which got the crown chanting along with them. They would bring the energy even though it was just the two of them.

Having not been out to play live in almost three years, the guys of Nocturnal Affair were excited to be on the stage playing for the crowd, and it would be like they had not missed a beat from not being able to play.

This was only the second stop on the Save the World Tour with plenty of more stops in possible towns near wherever you live, to see If the tour is going to be in your area or to see where you can find the music of any of the bands on this tour, you can find them on social media and all music streaming platforms.
