Lacey and Jason stop by to chat about the newest LP “The Fourth Album.”
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Wayne Swinny, the guitarist of Saliva. Wayne passed away this afternoon from a Spontaneous brain hemorrhage while on tour promoting their new single “High on Me.” Wayne will be missed by all those who knew him.
“I’m not even sure what to think or how to feel right now. My heart aches for Wayne’s family, his friends, and anyone who had the joy of being around him. My heart aches for his daughter Nikki. He loved that little girl so much. He was a Guitar Hero onstage with all the Rock ‘N’ Roll swag that most guitar players dream of. Offstage he was a proud father, an Ancient Aliens expert, and an incredible human who had zero enemies! He would go out of his way to make sure you had a good time. I’m grateful that I got to share almost 12 years of my life with Wayne on the stage and most importantly off the stage. He was the older brother I never had. I learned so much from him and we had a fucking blast together! I will cherish it all for the rest of my life! God Bless you Wayne. I know we’ll meet again!!” – Bobby Amaru
After acquiring front man Bobby Amaru in 2011, Saliva became infused with new blood, energy, and spirit. The same energy launched Saliva’s career in 2001 with the release, Every Six Seconds – a certified Double Platinum-selling album, containing the hits, “Click Click Boom” and 2002 Grammy nominated, “Your Disease.” Saliva’s in-your-face, anthemic writing style continued with a certified Gold-selling album Back in to Your System with hits: “Always,” “Raise Up,” and the Nikki Sixx co-written, “Rest In Pieces.”
Upon adding former Shinedown and Fuel bassist, Brad Stewart, as a permanent member, Saliva solidified their new lineup consisting of: Wayne Swinny, Sammi Jo Bishop and Amaru.

Violent J is an American rapper, record producer, professional wrestler, actor, writer, director, and one half of the multi gold and platinum selling hip-hop group The Insane Clown Posse. He is also the co-founder of Psychopathic Records, Juggalo Championship Wrestling, and The Gathering of The Juggalos Music Festival.
Violent J started his career in the mid 1980s in the backyard and independent wrestling circuits. By the late 80s he began spending more and more time on music until that became his only focus in life. In 1991 Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records were born. By 1995 ICP had received their first big label record contract and became a national touring band.
In 1997 Insane Clown Posse found national fame when their controversial album The Great Milenko was pulled off record store shelves just 4 hours after its release. Shortly after the media frenzy, ICP found themselves in a bidding war with every major record label eventually signing a deal with Island/Def Jam.
In the summer of 2000 ICP co-founded The Gathering of the Juggalos which is has become the longest running independent music festival in the country. Completely void of any sponsors The Gathering has become infamous and attracts its attendees from all parts of the globe.
For most of the first 10 years of ICP’s career they had always experienced an uphill battle. Generally never receiving any radio play, video play, or respect from their peers in the music industry. By 2010 that had finally changed, and they became part of pop culture.
Violent J continues to release new music with ICP and currently has just released his 4th solo project Bloody Sunday. Now in his prime, Violent J has no plans of ever slowing down and will continue to entertain the masses from now until the end of time.

Queens, New York based rock outfit King Falcon are shifting into high gear with new single ‘Cadillac’. Melding indie-rock adventurousness with Classic Rock swagger, King Falcon’s ultra-catchy songwriting recalls artists like Cage The Elephant, The Killers, The Strokes, and Tame Impala. The band played a rousing SRO set at The Gathering Conference in Las Vegas recently and is using that momentum for a 2 month residency at the famed Bowery Electric in NYC, with tour dates being booked for the summer and plans to release additional music later this year.
‘Cadillac’ was produced by Marshall Altman (Citizen Cope, Matt Nathanson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Mark Broussard) and mixed by 12-time Grammy-nominated mixing engineer and producer Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Fleetwood Mac, The Airborne Toxic Event). The song is brimming with earworm-worthy guitar riffage, a soaring chorus, soulfully melodic lead vocals, and vibrant indie-rock atmospherics.
In talking about the genesis of “Cadillac’, King Falcon’s Michael Rubin says “My best friend has had this 1957 Cadillac Eldorado parked in his garage for as long as I’ve known him. Every single time that we saw each other, I would pester him about trying to get it started so we could take it for a joyride. The car hadn’t moved in years – but it wasn’t in bad shape or anything, it had just atrophied as all mechanical things tend to do when they sit around unused and unloved”. He continues “One day I decided to take matters into my own hands. I showed up at his house with a couple of tools and a can of starter fluid and before you know it, we were cruisin’ down the boulevard in this unregistered Cadillac with 40 year old tires. That old Caddy turns WAY more heads than any new Lamborghini or Ferrari! The second I heard the engine roar to life I knew that this was a special moment that I wanted to write about.”
The “Cadillac” video snapshots an actual Ferris Bueller-like joyride with his buddy’s red, rare bird 1957 Eldorado Cadillac. Rubin continues “I got to drive this beauty with no brakes, no plates, and a flat tire—everybody, including the cops, waved as I cruised this spaceship around the neighborhood. It broke down twice while we were filming, and we had to push that two and a half ton beast uphill on a gravel road. We were able to mix in some epic animation to enhance the storyline of the video, we hope everyone enjoys it!”
Michael Rubin is the creative driving force behind King Falcon, but drummer and sometimes recording engineer James Terranova is essential to the band’s spirit. His fastidious, plan-ahead persona is the perfect counterpoint to Michael’s freewheeling personality, and the pair have an old-married-couple kind of connection. “I would take a bullet for him, but I may also be that person to shoot him,” Michael jokes. Up until now, King Falcon has been a guitar and drums duo, but the twosome is welcoming drummer Tom Diognardi and moving James to bass.
In 2020, the duo released the funky and infectiously catchy single, “Shake! Shake! Shake!” However, the pandemic cleared King Falcon’s calendar before it even got a chance to play a show. The guys made the most of the situation by sending the unreleased song, “When The Party Is Over,” out to labels. “That song represented me trying to convince my parents, and myself, that I could get somewhere playing guitar,” Michael says. The song turned out to be aces for the band – they emailed the song to Mascot, and the next day was awarded with a recording contract.
“When The Party Is Over” is an irresistible, moody mid-tempo rocker teeming with ear worm melodies. The song explores lonely New York late-night living with gritty candor, and it comes alive via a darkly alluring video. “We got chased through the park by a crazed man with a knife while making the song’s video,” Michael remembers.
King Falcon has resumed its pre-pandemic plans of playing its first live shows and touring. “It took two and a half years to get here,” Michael says, pausing thoughtfully. “If you asked me when I first got my guitar if we would get a label and be where we are today, I would have said, ‘oh yeah, no problem,’ but I’ve learned the reality of it all isn’t that simple. It is amazing to be where we are today, but it was definitely a challenging journey.”

May 16, 2023 – Denver, CO based metal musician and front-man JASON NEIL, formerly of Arcanium, has brought together a new cast of some of the most creative characters with his newest heavy rock band, MIND INCISION! Formed in September 2022, MIND INCISION also includes lead guitarist JON MAGGARD, bassist AEON CRUZ (MOTOGRATER), rhythm guitarist KYLE LOUCKS, and drummer KELLY MORSE, making them a “super group” of some of the best independent metal talent!
I did some really sweet tours with Arcanium over the 5 or 6 years we toured. Bullet For My Valentine, Butcher Babies, Ill Nino, Otep, and Machine Head were amongst some of the funnest.
What’s cool is the very first tour I scored as the vocalist of Arcanium, was with Megadeth. I grew up listening to Megadeth and was completely floored that Dave Mustaine had hand picked us for their tour.
The difference between Mind Incision and Arcanium for me is that the band writes music that is diverse. There is slow melodic tones and riffs, and also chunky driving powerhouse riffs. So the album came out great!
We’re currently seeking tours and have a couple offers on the table, as well as generated some industry professional interest since coming back to the scene with Mind Incision. I think this band is going to take off. We’re not here to fuck around and party. We are here to get out there and do some incredible things with the music we are creating for some good causes as well as for the fans, and if you liked I first 3 singles, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
“‘Zero230’ is inspired by soldiers who are suffering from PTSD or anyone that knows someone who is or has suffered in the past. In this song we talk about how a soldier wakes up in the middle of the night from dreams that take him back to the war and how it affects his/her everyday life. With no actual way to get rid of it. If you know someone that is suffering from PTSD please get them the help they need by sharing these links and phone numbers below.” – MIND INCISION
