Awake The Dreamer Share Video For "Broken Home"
Awake The Dreamer have shared the new single “Broken Home,” which unlocks deep emotion with music by exploring familial conflict and healing. With poignant lyrics and melodies, it offers hope and resonates deeply with those facing similar issues. This track underscores the band’s commitment to meaningful music.
The history of Awake The Dreamer leads us back to 2015, when the Stockholm-based, melodic post-hardcore/metalcore act was formed by childhood and high school friends. Since dropping the Grow EP in 2016, the band been seen touring all across Europe and Asia alongside bands like Ice Nine Kills, Northlane, Adept, and Crystal Lake, to name a few.
In September 2019, the band dropped the debut album Damaged Souls via Arising Empire. A 10-track introduction to hard-hitting, melodic post-hardcore/metalcore, which also included features by Adept’s Robert Ljung on “Vigilant” and Crystal Lake’s Ryo Kinoshita on “Atmosphere.”
“Being a smaller band that didn’t even have an album out by the time we had toured Europe and Asia quite finally caught up to us and then the pandemic hit. Like that wasn’t enough, we unfortunately had former members leaving the band, so it became natural for us to just start from scratch in order to re-develop a new sound. A sound which we are really happy and proud of. It feels great to start releasing music again and we are really excited to be back,” says the band.

Interview with Atomic Agent
Thanks for taking some time to chat with From the Green Room
1. What’s the name of the band?
Atomic Agent.
2. Where are you from?
Hämeenlinna, Finland.
3. What type of music do you play?
Hard Goth Rock. There are so much of dark elements like the lyrical themes, the tone of
my voice and much of the guitar melodies that fall into the Goth/Gothic category, but this
stuff also has so much that cockiness and heaviness of Hard Rock, that I think Hard Goth
Rock says it best. Although, there is a lot more, when you start digging in.
4. Introduce yourselves to the readers and tell us what you do in the band?
Hi! I’m Al Aston, I sing and play all the instruments – until now, that is. For live
purposes we are forming a line-up, other members so far added are Neville van der Smith
on bass, Count Jan Woods on drums and Nicholas de Sin on rhythm guitar. We’re still
actively looking for a lead guitarist – preferably someone, who can make the guitar sing,
so to speak. If this line-up will also start making studio recordings, remains to be seen,
but we are already actively rehearsing for possible future live shows.
5. This is probably a common question but one that most want to know, what musical
influences did you have growing up, and what are some now?
My first musical influences were artists like Elvis Presley and David Bowie. Then I got
gradually deeper into more extreme metal, and metal, especially thrash and death metal,
are what made me want to play an instrument myself. At one point I listened to a of 80’s
Goth Rock, then a lot of punk hardcore and even played in a certain punk hardcore band
for almost a couple of years.
6. Have you always been into music? Was it something that just came to you
naturally?
I have. None of my family was that musical, other than listening to music, but me and my
friends we really hit it off with metal stuff as teenagers, it really felt like it was made for
us and we were made for it. To be honest, before any serious metal came into picture, I
had no idea I had any musical talent myself. So yes, in the end it did come to me pretty
naturally.
7. What can we expect from the band in the rest of 2023 and beyond into 2024?
There’s a couple of singles coming out – pretty soon I hope, then an EP called Dolly’s
Not Alone later in the spring. A sophomore album is also in the works. On top of that we
are rehearsing the live stuff as mentioned, and hoping to hit the stages later this year –
provided that we find the lead guitarist, of course.
8. For someone who wants to know more about the band, were can they find you at?
And were can they find your music?
You can find us on several social media, like Facebook and Instagram, but not on X. The
debut album Secret Society is out on pretty much all digital streaming platforms. I’m just
hoping we could get a physical release out at some point too.
9. Let’s answer some fun questions, what is your all time favorite band?
Oh man, this answer could change on a daily basis! But today I’ll go with Carcass. I just
love them so much, especially Heartwork is something that makes my clock tick! A
perfect combination of heaviness, blasting, harmonies and technical brilliance (without
going overboard at any point).
10. If you could tour with any band and open or have them open for you, who would
you choose?
Open for us? Well now… We usually get asked only the question who should we open
for, but I like the way you think! 😀 But I think we’d team up with bands like Tribulation,
Candlemass, Paradise Lost and such quite nicely.
Thanks for chatting with me From the Green Room and look forward to chatting
again in the future.
Thank you, it was my pleasure!

Cameron Alexander Announces New EP "Ice Blue Punk" & New Single "Insomniac"
Wednesday, March 20th 2024 – Rising pop punk prodigy, Cameron Alexander, has today announced his brand new EP “Ice Blue Punk” set for release on April 26, 2024. Bursting with infectious anthems, the highly anticipated EP is set to blend his punk attitude and beloved pop sensibilities.
To celebrate today’s long-awaited announcement, Cameron has officially released a brand new single “Insomniac”, that shares a sneak peek into the upcoming EP. With catchy melodies, soaring choruses, and the signature grit of pop punk, Cameron Alexander brings a fresh and contemporary edge to the pop punk sound, drawing inspiration from legends of the genre while infusing it with his unique style. Fans can watch the new video HERE or at the link below.
Speaking on today’s EP announcement, Cameron Alexander shares:
“The purpose of this song was to bend elements from traditional pop-punk songs as well as experiment with more electronic elements to resemble the confusing atmosphere that the sudden end of a relationship can cause. To me, Insomniac is a rapid fire of emotions channeled into an anthem that serves as the perfect closer to my first body of work, a triumphant cliffhanger to my life, my music, and what’s to come from both.”
Lifting the curtain behind the accompanying single release, Cameron Alexander adds:
“I’m ecstatic to finally be able to release my first body of work to the world. It’s been an honor working with industry professionals as well as my best friends to create a project that embodies the journeys I’ve been on in my life up to this point. From the heartbreaks to the friendships that will last forever, from facing inner demons to learning to live and let go, the highest highs and lowest lows are all there in their perfectly imperfect reality, and it’s all wrapped up in an angsty and anthemic package for you to jump around to. Even though I create the music, it wouldn’t be what it is without the people in my life inspiring what it can become and the listeners supporting the music, and I’m forever grateful to the people that have chosen to come along for the ride.”
Elevated by the collaboration of decorated producers Justin Cortelyou (Taylor Swift, Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires) and Liam Muckala (Anthony Amorim, Tornsey, Eva Snyder), Cameron Alexander has infused his music with a blend of contemporary innovation and timeless authenticity, setting the stage for his rise as an artist to watch in the industry. As more begins to approach on the horizon, be sure to stay tuned for more Cameron Alexander news coming soon.

To date, Hatebreed have sold over 1.5 million albums in North America alone.
Hatebreed’s most recent album, 2020’s Weight of the False Self, was praised as a “return to their hardcore roots” by Brooklyn Vegan. NEW TOUR DATES ON DECK
BREAKING BENJAMIN guitarist KEITH WALLEN will drop his latest solo album Infinity Now on May 3 via Rise Records. Pre-save it here.
Today, Wallen has shared the video for “The Wolf.” Watch it here.
“‘The Wolf’ is a song and a concept that I felt a lot of us can identify with,” Wallen says. “We’ve all known those people that for whatever reason we just can’t break ourselves away from them. An addiction on every level, all the while knowing it’s a toxic situation. You break all those promises to yourself that you’ll stay away, but ultimately there you are again.”
Commenting on the video, he shares, “The video for ‘The Wolf’ was shot in a beautiful house in south Nashville. Directed by Courtney Dellafiora, we wanted an intimate look and setting that was reminiscent of waking from a dream in the middle of the night, and then grabbing the guitar and playing the song. The most exciting thing of all with getting to work with ‘Bane,’ the real live wolf actor and his amazing training staff for the shoot! That was a first for me, and I couldn’t be happier how the video turned out.”

ABOUT KEITH WALLEN:
Keith Wallen is a prolific songwriter responsible for soaring melodies and hypnotic hooks heard across modern rock radio. The West Virginia-born troubadour uses his solo work as a vehicle to explore his multifaceted passions, moving seamlessly from the smart pop of ’80s favorites like The Police and Depeche Mode to the big moody riffs of ’90s grunge heroes like Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots.
His co-writing collaborations include compositions with Saint Asonia, Fuel, We Came As Romans, Red, Dorothy, and Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch’s Love And Death. Wallen bares his soul as a solo artist with earnest resolve, powering his honest anthems with commanding vocals.
A former member of Adelitas Way, Keith was among his first calls when Benjamin Burnley decided to reform and reconfigure his band. Dark Before Dawn, Breaking Benjamin’s powerhouse comeback, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Ember followed in 2018.
Keith’s self-produced acoustic and piano-driven Allies EP arrived in 2014. His debut solo album, 2021’sThis World Or The Next, featured “Dream Away,” a song streamed 1.4M times on Spotify alone. His second solo album, Infinity Now, includes production and co-writing contributions from Kevin Thrasher (RIVALS, Jelly Roll) and work with Dan Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker) and Andrew Baylis (Sleeping With Sirens, Jelly Roll, Brantley Gilbert).
Produced by Kevin Thrasher (Jelly Roll, RIVALS) and mixed by Joel Wanasek (Rain City Drive, Scott Stapp), Keith’s sophomore solo album, Infinity Now, extends a warm invitation into the singer/songwriter’s heart and mind. Hard rock bombast meets intimate pensiveness via engaging songs like “Blackout,” “Strings,” and first single, “Headspace Holiday.”
As guitarist for Breaking Benjamin, a solo artist or songwriting collaborator, the common threads through Keith Wallen’s work are honesty, authenticity, and heartfelt spirit.

DE'WAYNE Signs to Fearless + Shares "synthesizer" Video
FEARLESS RECORDS is pleased to announce the addition of rock artist DE’WAYNE to the global roster.
DE’WAYNE is an artist who has taken risks his whole life and is now putting that exact energy into the music he creates.
DE’WAYNE is an alternative rock singer from Houston, Texas, who is redefining how it’s done by showcasing a raw and tasteful blend of genres. The music combines elements of rock, pop, and soul, with a mission to show people we shouldn’t live in boxes — and neither should our music. Throughout his nascent career, he has constantly reinvented himself, leaving fans both guessing and thrilled, all the while picking up new ones along the way. The NME called out his ability to be “equally at home belting out throaty howl or indulging in his velvety soulfulness” and praised, “the sense of fun and experimentation that’s crucial to good mainstream-minded rock music is very much alive” that defines DE’WAYNE’s music.
Today, DE’WAYNE has shared the video for “synthesizer.”
Watch it here.
“synthesizer’ is a love letter to my best friend,” DE’WAYNE says. “Sometimes, it’s easier to say these things in a song rather than in person. I was inspired by The Commodores, who wrote ‘Brick House’ about the perfect woman — in their eyes. I wanted to take the word synthesizer and make it SEXY and give it a new meaning. To anyone who listens to this, I hope they find the synthesizer in their life.”
The song has already been added to Spotify’s flagship rock playlist MARROW, which is a mirror and vehicle, and a reflection of what is truly driving today’s rock youth culture, evolution, and limitless trajectory.

2 Shadows Unleash Blistering New Track “Mad God”
Vancouver based metal band 2 Shadows are heading into the New Year in high gear with their blistering new track “Mad God” on Rock Shop Records. The song starts with a brief acoustic interlude before bludgeoning the listener with crushing down-tuned guitars and staccato snare sounds, underpinned by thunderous bass drums and piercingly intense vocals. The song laments how people blindly follow the rules to get ahead in life – often without ever really knowing why they are doing it.
2 Shadows Glen Bridden says “When Tryst and I wrote the song Mad God we were inspired by the Phil Tippett film with the same name. We were blown away by the apocalyptic dystopian setting and the delivery of the horror elements in the movie and it got us excited to try exploring those vibes musically. Our song “Mad God” ended up being the easiest and most fluid song to write and we didn’t make many changes after the first demo.
He continues “When it came to the lyrics of the song I focused on the dissonance visible in everyday urban life, like how lonely you can feel in a densely populated area and how common it is for people to numb themselves with prescription drugs and the like. It would seem people feel more comfortable ‘under an influence’ and that’s where the lyric “overdosed on sanity” comes from and where the dystopian horror begins to show itself and come full circle”.
2 Shadows are veteran road warriors and are planning a tour for later this year. The band plans to release more new music in 2024.
About 2 Shadows:
2 Shadows has been together since 2015 and have been steadily honing their craft through continuous touring. They draw inspiration from legendary acts like Slipknot and Rammstein, while also being influenced by contemporary acts such as Motionless In White, Asking Alexandria, and Avenged Sevenfold. 2 Shadows have gained serious momentum over the last year by going viral on all social media platforms – especially TikTok, where they have over 390k followers, and on Facebook – where they have 320,000 followers. The band has an impressive 100 Million content views across all their networks. 2 Shadows have amassed 5 million career audio streams and more than 2 million combined video views on YouTube.

Progressive metal band Take & Take announced their debut album Disillusion is slated for release on March 22, 2024. Crafting every element from concept to concrete, the musical visionary Eddie Trager helmed the entire process—ideas, composition, instrumental and vocal performances, and even the captivating hand-drawn cover art.
Yet, in this artistic endeavor, Trager found collaboration in the form of the legendary Matt Bayles. Known for his contributions to some of Eddie’s all-time favorite albums, Bayles lent his expertise to the mixing duties at the prestigious Red Room in Seattle. Meanwhile, metal production titan Jens Bogren took the reins for mastering at his renowned Fascination Street Studios in Malmo, Sweden, ensuring the album’s sound reaches new heights.
Disillusion draws inspiration from a diverse array of progressive musical influences, weaving a tapestry that spans from the avant-garde sounds of Ihsahn, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Opeth, Mastodon, Wilderun, and The Mars Volta to the vibrancy of Jacob Collier, The Beatles, Queen, and Yes. The album masterfully navigates through a spectrum of musical genres, seamlessly blending pop sensibilities with experimental twists that defy traditional forms.
Prepare to embark on a musical odyssey that transcends boundaries, as Take & Take introduces Disillusion to the world on March 22, 2024—a testament to innovation, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of artistic excellence.
“Sticky” – the first single from the upcoming Disillusion album – dropped January 12th with a simultaneous video premiere at Metal Injection.

Meet Eddie Trager, a versatile artist whose musical journey spans a spectrum of roles and genres:
Formerly a rhythmic force as the drummer and percussionist for Nekrogoblikon from 2007 to 2016, Eddie contributed not only his drumming skills but also his talents on xylophone, glockenspiel, marimba, and earned credits as a songwriter.
Currently, he is making waves as the drummer for the new punk/hardcore band, Last Leg, as well as handling production and mixing duties for their debut EP. Additionally, Eddie showcases his guitar prowess with The Wailing Coast, a rock band based in China, where he intricately weaves melodies into their sonic landscape.
As the leader of Eddie Spaghetti and the Selfish Bitches, Eddie brings an absurd sensibility to modern music. Moreover, his collaborative efforts with Emo/Shoegaze/chamber music artist A Lady Named Isaac add another layer to his diverse musical portfolio.
Eddie Trager’s journey with Take & Take began in 2016, during his travels through Colombia. The song forms coalesced during live demo sessions in the midst of the 2020 lockdown in Xiamen, China. Take & Take is the sound of personal struggle and awakening, of greed and gain, of telling lies and being lied to, of deep disappointment and personal loss, the rise of ego and the inevitable fall. It’s a poetic testament to the transformative power of heavy music, inviting those who truly listen to join the experience. Take & Take isn’t just music; it’s an immersive journey through the complexities of the human experience—raw, unapologetic, and undeniably powerful.
