Review: Chaoseum-The Third Eye

Read Time:57 Second

Chaoseum is a Swiss Nu-metal/Metalcore band that formed in 2018 in Lausanne (Switzerland) and have played iconic venues like the legendary Whisky a Go Go, and have shared the stage with bands such to the likes of Eluvettie, Five Finger Death Punch and Metallica.

Chaoseum have released their fourth album since 2018, the follow up to their acoustic album Second Skin, and this is probably the best so far and it jumps out in your face from the first track I, Sexy Zombie as you go down the track list the songs punch you in the face harder each time, title track The Third Eye slows it down with an almost melodic chant to calm you down and sooth you for just a moment, all the way down to the last track What If, an album that makes you want to drive fast and punch people but still offers the slower tracks that are what I would consider Nu-metal ballads.

Track listing

  1. I,Sexy Zombie
  2. Unreal
  3. Dance on My Grave
  4. The Third Eye
  5. Fly Away
  6. My Wonderland
  7. Welcome Home
  8. Until the End
  9. Sactum Cinerem
  10. What if

Review: Novacrow-Look at me Now

0 0
Read Time:56 Second

Novacrow has released their first full length album Look at me now follow up to the very successful EP’s Black Syrup, Criminal Mastermind and Novacrow Vol1, and it showcases the best of Novacrow so far.

Look at me Now combines a wild blend of genres, with tracks line “Hollow Armour” where the start is melodic and dark to “Not your Mannequin” that gets faster, and harder album is mixed with eclectic sounds infused with sharp influences of horror and as always Novacrow sprinkles in a dash of humour.

Novacrow really shows the evolution of not only as a band but as individuals as well.

Look at me now-Track Listing

 Shapes in the Sky
 Hollow Armour
 Medusa Medusa
 Hush (Featuring Joe Maryanji of Oceanis as additional vocals)
 Play My Game
 Not Your Mannequin
 It’s Alive
 Frankenfiiine
 All I See Is Her (featuring Jack Batchelor on congas/additional percussion)
 Torn to Pieces
 Day Break
 Why Are My Dreams Always Trying To Kill Me?
 My Virtues (featuring Robyn Wilkinson on cello)

This album is definitely worth checking out and giving it a listen- 8.5/10

Multi-Platinum, Grammy nominated band Saliva released a brand new single “High On Me”

0 0
Read Time:1 Minute, 40 Second

The band will be on tour in December with Awake At Last and Seventh Day Slumber.

“‘High on me’ is about a day in the life of someone’s opioid addiction. Is it me or the drugs that keep you sticking around? The opioid epidemic is something so many struggle with and most never make it out the other side. I’ve had many friends die from it and it saddens me when I hear of someone losing that battle,” says Bobby Amaru, vocalist of the band.
Saliva will continue to release tracks and ultimately a full album in Spring of 2023. The new music has a contemporary feel but sticks to the blue collar roots that their fans love.
After acquiring front man Bobby Amaru in 2011, Saliva became infused with new blood, energy, and spirit. The same energy launched Saliva’s career in 2001 with the release, Every Six Seconds – a certified Double Platinum-selling album, containing the hits, “Click Click Boom” and 2002 Grammy nominated, “Your Disease.” Saliva’s in-your-face, anthemic writing style continued with a certified Gold-selling album Back in to Your System with hits: “Always,” “Raise Up,” and the Nikki Sixx co-written, “Rest In Pieces.”
Upon adding former Shinedown and Fuel bassist, Brad Stewart, as a permanent member, Saliva solidified their new lineup consisting of: Wayne Swinny, Sammi Jo Bishop and Amaru.

“We’re super stoked to be touring with our good friends in Skillet and Saint Asonia this winter,” shares Theory of a Deadman front man Tyler Connolly. “We’re also really looking forward to playing new material for our fans!!”

“We are so excited to be touring with our friends from Theory again!,” says Skillet’s John Cooper. “It’s been several years since our last tour together, and this time we are also joined by our friends in Saint Asonia. We are looking forward to kicking off 2023 the right way by joining forces for a super-charged rock show! Panheads get ready!”

SKILLET are one of the best-selling rock bands of the 21st century. The two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated, Pandora Billionaires Club members, and multi-platinum rockers have an undying spirit that has humbly asserted and affirmed them as one of this generation’s most successful rock acts. However, as all classic underdog stories do, it happened quietly under the radar. By 2019, they not only garnered a pair of GRAMMY® Award nods and sold over 12 million albums worldwide, but they also took home a Billboard Music Award for the double-platinum Awake. Its breakout single “Monster” is 5x platinum and remains “one of the most-streamed rock songs of all-time.” 2016’s Unleashed bowed at #3 on the Billboard Top 200. Hitting #1 on Rock Radio, the lead single “Feel Invincible” cracked 643 million global audio streams and went platinum. Meanwhile, the gold-certified Unleashed became their fourth consecutive album to receive either a gold, platinum, or double-platinum status. Their 2019 release Victorious included the top ten rock radio hit “Legendary,” which lived up to its name with over 108 million streams. To date, nine original tunes earned RIAA recognition in tandem with high-profile syncs by everyone from WWE and Marvel to ESPN and NFL. Between selling out arenas in 26 countries and four continents, the group performed on CONAN and graced the pages of USA Today and The New York Times, Skillet debuted their first graphic novel, EDEN: A Skillet Graphic Novel with Z2 Comics, which became the publisher’s best-selling book of all time, followed by EDEN II: The Aftermath. Skillet’s latest project, DOMINION, is available now.

With sky-high hooks, riffs as thick as a 2×4, rumbling grooves, and a razor-sharp sense of humor, THEORY OF A DEADMAN — Tyler Connolly [lead vocals, guitar], Dave Brenner [guitar, backing vocals], Dean Back [bass], and Joey Dandeneau [drums, backing vocals] — have quietly persisted as an unapologetic, unbreakable, and undeniable hard rock force with major multi-platinum hits and countless sold out shows in each of the past two decades. The band burst out of their small Canadian hometown with the self-titled, Theory of a Deadman, during 2002. In addition to the double-platinum breakthrough album Scars & Souvenirs [2008] and gold-certified The Truth Is… [2011], Theory have notched a procession of hits, including the gold-certified “All Or Nothing,” “Bitch Came Back,” and “Lowlife,” platinum-certified “Angel,” “Hate My Life,” and “Not Meant To Be,” double-platinum “Bad Girlfriend,” and triple-platinum “RX (Medicate).” As the biggest smash of their career thus far, the latter hit, off their 2017 album Wake Up Call, marked their third #1 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart and garnered a nomination for “Rock Song of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Their impressive catalogue has also logged two Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 and amassed more than 1 billion collective streams on Spotify alone and over 675 million views on their official YouTube. In 2020, the award-winning band’s seventh studio album Say Nothing, featuring the chart-topping and powerful single “History of Violence,” landed at #2 on the Billboard Alternative Albums Chart and #3 on the Rock Albums Chart. Theory of a Deadman recently returned with their anthemic and hard-hitting new single “Dinosaur” (Roadrunner Records), which is currently impacting Active Rock radio. ABOUT AUGUST BURNS RED:
August Burns Red is likely the only metal act ever described as “thrillingly empathetic” (Kerrang!). It’s a testament to the ferocious band’s ability to recognize and connect with the mixture of brokenness and hope found in their audience and within themselves. A hard-working collective with a shockingly stable lineup for the vast majority of their career, August Burns Red pour every ounce of themselves into their music. Atmospheric, riff-laden, aggressive bursts of controlled chaos, filled with shifting time signatures and tempos, deliver confessional, self-reflective, and authentic emotion.

Tour stops with Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, and Bring Me the Horizon; several major international hard rock festivals (Rock Am Ring, Download, and Aftershock, to name a few); and the Vans Warped Tour are among the destinations around the world to witness ABR’s live prowess. Massive headlining treks celebrating 10-year anniversaries for Constellations and Leveler demonstrated the enduring relevance of the band’s catalog, nearly 20 years into ABR’s storied career. 2020’s Guardians debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hard Music, Rock Albums, and Vinyl Albums charts.

Revolver, who put the band on their cover the same year, observed August Burns Red “embrace the pain so well.” It’s a truth never more evident than on Death Below, their stunning ninth studio album. Recorded with longtime producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, Death Below encompasses all of the pissed-off strength of the band’s past without sacrificing an ounce of catchy, melodic might. Death Below boasts guest appearances from ABR allies Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage), Spencer Chamberlain (Underoath), Jason Richardson (All That Remains), and JT Cavey (ERRA). “It’s getting difficult for the members of August Burns Red to keep one-upping themselves,” marveled Billboard shortly before Guardians arrived. With Death Below, they emerge victorious again.
